Mon:

• Joint class lecture over the 2nd half of section 12-3

Tue: 9th grade Writing Assessment

• 1st-3rd periods were affected due to the writing assessment, so periods 4th-7th worked on their notes and made up labs

Wed:

• Joint class lecture over section 12.4...final lecture
• Review (3 types of RNA, 3 differences between DNA and RNA, nucleotides, 5 nitrogenous bases, helicase, DNA polymerase, RNA polymerase, transcription, start and stop codons, exons and introns)
• Lab scanned and uploaded to my blog
• Copy lab in your composition notebook and be ready to complete in class tomorrow
• DO NOT WRITE OUT THE CODON CHART...I WILL MAKE COPIES
• Study for Friday's test (Section 11.4 and Chapter 12...omit 12.5)
• There are scanned review sheets for the test in the resource folder

Thur: Lab Day!!! (What can happen when things go wrong?)

• Answer the questions to the lab and finish your write up
• Study for Friday's test (Section 11.4 and Chapter 12...omit 12.5)

Fri: TEST DAY

• Chapter Test Section 11.4 and Chapter 12...omit 12.5
• Test moved to Monday, February 9th

• Make up labs and tests

Wed:

• Grade second lab in class
• Lecture over 11.1

Thur: NO LAB TODAY

• Finish 11.1 lecture

Fri: combined class lecture

• Review lecture over 11.1
• Lecture on 11.2
• Over the weekend prepare for 11.3 lecture
• RNV 11.3 if you haven't already completed this
• RNV 13.1, 13.2 over the weekend
• All grades are updated and entered

Feb 16-20
Mon: President's Day/Planning Day/No School :)


Tue: SNOW DAY/No School

• Make sure you RNV for sections 11.1-11.3 and 13.1-13.2
• Expect a quiz our first day back over section 11.2
• Look at your Gradespeed account and check for discrepancies with your grades

Wed-Fri: School or No School  NO SCHOOL

• While we are out, please RNV (read, take notes and complete the vocab) for the remaining sections of the 3rd term:

• We will have a quiz our FIRST day back over 11.2, with 11.3 following shortly
